What is Westcrest?

This question is frequently asked by one of my characters—Annabel Warrant, girl detective—as she attempts to uncover the many mysteries of Genoa City.

The answer (although it is one that is unlikely to satisfy Annabel) is that Westcrest is an ongoing work of serial fiction, published for free online.

Westcrest is the story of a group of extraordinary characters who live together on an invisible island in the middle of a lake.

These include Marcus, a super-soldier from the future; Helena, who shares her body with the Nordic Goddess of the Underworld; Sarra, who can manipulate energy with her hands; Conor, who is a genius with a photographic memory and Chatravati who can predict the outcome of almost any situation.

And then… there’s Jeremy.

Westcrest are controlled by the enigmatic Dept. 38 and work to protect the citizens of Genoa City from all manner of ghoulies, ghosties and long-leggity beasties… by which I mean zombies, mad scientists and trolls.

With two seasons of the serial already completed (59 episodes in total) I am extremely enthusiastic about the third. With my cast of characters established, the upcoming season—tentatively slated to begin later this year—is set to contain many of the ideas and events that inspired me to start writing Westcrest in the first place.

Change is coming to Genoa City.
