Abilities: Low level of precognitive ability, linked to his return from the Rapture of 780DW. Mayad is able to visualise the causal and temporal links between people and objects.

Background:

Chatravati was raised in Bombay, where he studied at a prominent madrassa. Upon completing the bulk of his education, Mayad travelled to England to undertake additional studies.

It is during this time that he met Sophia Belafonte, a London-town socialite with familial links to the amateur mystery-solving group known as the "Saucers".

Sophia and Chatravati were quickly embroiled in several plots relating to the tumultuous workings of London-town vampire society (see Report #292: London-town Vampire Hierarchy). These misadventures frequently caused them to cross paths with Eastcrest.

In response to this, and at the recommendation of the immortal Sir David Rothschild, both were granted membership with the Deptartment. Due to the Eastcrest member roster being full, Chatravati and Sophia were sent to Almarica to boost the ranks of the Westcrest chapter.

While with Westcrest, Chatravati, along with the other members at the time, travelled backwards in time to the Demon Wars (see Report #1: The Script).

Due to unforseen events that occured after the team returned in 1933, the ranks of Westcrest were decimated and Chatravati was forced to trap himself in suspended animation in order to save his own life (see Report #45: Null Doors).

He was awoken almost 50 years later by Marcus Tel-Ur and returned to Eastcrest, where he worked extensively with Helena Morgan to help her control the deity incarnate trapped inside her mind (see Report #44: Mind of the Incarnate).

Chatravati eventually returned to Almarica to reform Westcrest, which had remained dormant since the events of 1933 (see Report #61: On Demonic Seeds and Their Spawning). He was accompanied by Marcus Tel-Ur and Helena Morgan.
